About STARS

Established in 2014, STARS is Kudzu Playhouse’s premiere theatrical education program, designed to provide instruction in all aspects of live theatrical arts to all ages. Classes and workshops are offered on a rotating basis in acting, dance, vocal instruction, auditions, and technical elements, for a wide range of ages and experience levels.

Tuition Cost: $50.00 per month, per child for each class. Tuition is due on the first of every month. Failure to pay in full will result in the student being removed from the performance.

STARS is not a drop-in class. Students are expected to attend classes each week to get the maximum benefit of their enrollment and to ensure all students have a successful performance at the end of the semester. Tech/dress rehearsal week is mandatory.

Withdrawal policy: Please send notice to [email protected] if you need to withdraw. In the event of a participant withdrawing from the class after its commencement, the full program fee of $250 remains payable. No refunds will be issued once the class has commenced.

Class Information: This class will meet at New Discovery church every Tuesday starting September 10th, from 5:00pm-6:30pm. STARS will follow the DeSoto County Schools calendar and inclement weather policy. We will communicate through email, Remind101, and a private Facebook group.

Alice In Wonderland Jr.

Alice In Wonderland Jr. invites audiences into the whimsical world of Lewis Carroll's classic tale, where Alice encounters fantastical creatures and peculiar characters on her journey through Wonderland. This enchanting production follows Alice as she navigates through the nonsensical adventures of the Mad Hatter's tea party, encounters with the Queen of Hearts, and more. With its colorful cast and imaginative storytelling, this production promises to be an unforgettable theatrical experience.

Class Information: This class will meet at New Discovery Church every Thursday starting September 12th, from 6:30pm-8:00pm. STARS will follow the DeSoto County Schools calendar and inclement weather policy. We will communicate through email, Remind101, and a private Facebook group.
